THE REALITY
Indonesia, with a population of over 270 million, is the world’s largest Muslim-majority country and one of the most spiritually unreached. Christianity is a minority religion, creating an urgent need for the Gospel to be shared and disciples to be made.
Bali is globally renowned for its vibrant surf and tourist scene, drawing millions in search of a thrill and deeper meaning. Yet beneath its surface lies deep spiritual darkness. With over 49,000 Hindu temples, widespread occult practices, and heavy persecution of Christian converts, the need for the Gospel in Bali is profound. The one million Balinese who have relocated to other Indonesian islands like Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Lombok often show more openness to Christ.
Sumatra is the largest unevangelized island on earth. Most of its major people groups are Muslim, resulting in tangible spiritual opposition. Christianity has taken root among formerly animist groups such as the Batak, Nias, and Mentawai, as well as among the Chinese minority. The Batak people, though successful and influential, often struggle to witness due to strong ethnic pride, devotion to tradition, and tensions with Muslim neighbors. The Chinese, who operate 60% of Indonesia’s businesses and live in nearly every city, also need encouragement to reach beyond their ethnic and cultural circles with the Gospel.
Across the country, 233 unreached people groups make up nearly 70% of the population. The task is massive, requiring cross-cultural ministry, Bible translation, and creative forms of ministry like action sports outreach, evangelism and discipleship.
And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

Pray with us
Pray for revival within the Church. Ask God to renew spiritually dry regions, especially where Christianity has existed for centuries. Pray for healing from immorality, division, and syncretism with local occult practices.
Pray for mature, equipped leaders. As newer churches grow rapidly, pray for strong discipleship, biblical training, and godly leaders to shepherd the Church well.
Pray for believers from Muslim background. Lift up those who face rejection and persecution after coming to faith in Jesus. Ask God to give them courage, community, and for entire families to follow God and grow in faith.
